Finding a Geocache is like treasure hunting. Geocaches are hidden all over the world. GPS coordiantes and clues are provided. Some geochaches requre a boat as they’re on otherwise unaccessible islands. Some are at old lighthouse locations and old forts. The scenery and ambiance is generally an awesome experience.
The treasure is the cache itself. All have logs to note whose has found it. Most contain trinkets, take one/leave one.
Following the clues and finding the treasure is fun in itself but also a great excuse to be somewhere historic or breathtakingly beautiful you’d not have thought of otherwise.
